Holiday activities to make you enjoy and savior the holidays a little bit more…

The holidays are a particular time to reflect on the positive aspects of life, to commemorate yearly customs, and to spend time with friends and loved ones. This year, more than ever, we're putting in our best efforts to make the most of every one of these precious moments spent with our loved ones. There are lots of holiday-themed activities to keep us all occupied, from hanging decorations to following seasonal recipes to sending Christmas greetings to friends and family.

That's why we've put up a Holiday checklist of our favorite holiday activities that you can do with family and friends - or even enjoy on your own – this season. While every household has its unique set of holiday customs, we've compiled a list of innovative Holiday activities for kids and adults that you may want to include in your family's celebrations this year. We hope you like it!

Take a holiday photo to send in the New Year

Prepare your family's Holiday card early in the season to ensure that you have plenty of time to spend the Holidays with your family. But, if you’re like me and just simply did not have time you can also do this. We are very unconventional when it comes to sending Holiday cards, and I always forget to take a good photo family photo. So, what is the solution? Take a photo of your family during the Holidays and send it via an e-card or print them out and send them out early in January to welcome the new year! I’ve been doing this for years and friends and family love it! I add a calendar in the back of the cards, so safe to say that, they usually keep the card up all year long.

The more imaginative you are, the better! You can do this via Canva and use one of the free Holiday templates.

Host a holiday game night

Bring your friends and family together and get your competitive juices flowing! In addition to having an ugly sweater contest, we've gathered a terrific list of Holiday games for adults, with a few kid-friendly alternatives thrown in for good measure that will get everyone in the holiday mood.

There are a variety of Holiday games to choose from, such as secret Santa, Bingo, Monopoly, and if you are Hispanic, Loteria is always a good idea.

Enjoy a drive-in Movie

Drive-in movie theatres are making a return, and it couldn't have happened at a better time. Check to see if any of your favorite Holiday movies will be showing at any of the local theatres. We've even seen enormous stadiums in major cities turn their parking lots into makeshift drive-in theatres to accommodate the growing popularity of drive-in movies.

Another one of those fantastic Holiday activities for kids of all ages, including us grown-up, is this one! The Star in Frisco is a great place to start.

Go for a hike or walk

In order to burn off some of the calories from your Holiday feast, taking a family walk or hiking is recommended. Along the route, you'll get the opportunity to take in some of the local decorations according to the holiday and lighting displays. Highland Park has beautiful light displays during the Holidays. You can do a self- guided tour in your car, park and walk, or take a stroll on a horse carriage.

Sending lots of love for those grieving a loved one this holiday season.

Having a get-together with friends and family members is what the holidays are all about. But, for many of us we may be grieving , sending everyone lots of love this holiday season. Whatever form of activity you choose to participate in, enjoy yourself to the fullest since holiday seasons come and go in the blink of an eye.

Until our next adventure…
